Orange Underground

This is one of more recent ads for Cheetos in their "Orange Underground" campaign.  The creative for this campaign is characterized with edgy and shocking ads, that really go against the norms for society.  Whether is playing annoying music, smashing Cheetos in a lab top, or licking another person cheesy fingers as seen in this year's Superbowl.  I think this group of advertising does an excellent job reaching their younger target audience, especially when assisted by their interactive website. OrangeUnderground.com allows viewers to see other edgy videos and experience Cheetos' message.
The only question I raise is whether this campaign is effective increasing the popularity of Cheetos.  The audience may find the advertising intriguing but would I, as part of their target, want Cheetos more.  In fact the Superbowl commercial when the man was licking other peoples fingers, I actually felt disgusted.  So, is wise for a target market to ever feel repulsed during a food ad?
